Hotel Arteka

A lovely hotel by a lovely beach, run by hospitable people.

We spent a week here in August with the kids and were very happy. The hotel is right on the beach, which makes the location great for families. Step out of the garden, cross a small bike path, and you’re on the beach. The sea is fantastic for children. It’s very shallow, so they can learn to swim easily and play on their own safely. Breakfast is a reasonable, sufficient buffet with no waste. You can also order from the kitchen and ask them to make something the way your children like it. I described exactly how they eat their omelet, and thankfully the kitchen made it for us. We’d read complaints about the chef, but we were happy with the food. We even had fresh, hot soup every evening. The meals and olive oil dishes were simple and genuine, like food from a local diner. The building is old, but it was spotless, and they cleaned our room every day. We noticed that everyone staying there had been before. When we left, we said goodbye to all the staff, especially Ms. Dilek, and told them we hoped to see them again next summer. We were very pleased. Thanks again for everything 🤩

We were there from August 4th to August 6th, two adults and one child. The best thing about the hotel is its spot right by the beach. There’s a pedestrian path between the hotel and shore, closed to traffic, so kids can move around freely. The beach is lovely, the sea is very clean with hardly any waves, and it’s sandy. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available, and the small restaurant serving the beach has quite reasonable prices. There’s also a liquor store 10 meters behind the hotel and a supermarket 30 meters farther on, so it’s easy to pick up whatever you want to eat at the beach. The food was good too. Breakfast and dinner are buffet style. Breakfast was enough, and dinner tasted great, with care clearly put into preparing it. My only complaint is that there was just one main dish. I think another option would make it even better. The side dishes and salads were good as well. The hotel is older, so the bathroom and toilet are a bit dated, but everything was very clean. The rooms have TVs and, most importantly, air conditioning. It’s a quiet, peaceful place with a great location, and I’d recommend it to anyone planning to go.

My mother spent three weeks here, and the warm welcome from everyone made her feel at home. We’re especially grateful to Ms. Dilek and Mr. Mahmut for their friendly smiles and hospitality. The hotel was clean, the food was excellent, and the location worked very well. We hope to come back next year.
