Palmon Hotel

They pay attention to even the little things that can make a trip more comfortable. I had a nice experience at this hotel.

We only stayed one night. Since we were travelling with children, they thoughtfully gave us a non-smoking room. There was no balcony, though, which made drying wet towels and swimsuits a hassle. I guess they decided an elevator wasn't needed because the building isn't tall, but getting luggage up can be awkward. The hotel is right on the seafront, with no public walking path between the beach and the building. Breakfast is buffet-style, and apart from fries, I didn't notice anything missing. There was a good range. The beach staff were attentive, and hotel guests have their own sections. The beach restaurant is small and doesn't have enough seating for outside guests. Each time I've visited, I've ended up at the last table. The food was genuinely delicious, and the staff were attentive and plentiful. Prices felt a bit high compared with Ayvalik. The Marmara Sea is naturally mossy, but the water is clear. There are lots of boats, and I still don't know why they keep anchoring and unanchoring around the pontoons all the time. Swimming past the pontoons could be dangerous. I didn't think I needed to reserve a table at the restaurant that evening. Even with empty tables, they said they were reserved, so since we were eating late, we had dinner inside where breakfast is served. The food was delicious, and afterward we agreed it's worth going for dinner. Make a reservation: people stay at their tables until 11 or 12, and there are only a few tables, so you might not get a seat.
