We’d planned to stay just one night before carrying on, but ended up remaining for the rest of our holiday because we liked it so much. The view is lovely, and it makes a great base for exploring. There’s a four-hour trekking route from here to the beach of kabak, with fantastic scenery, plenty of ups and downs, and a stone beach along the way. The owners are warm and friendly, almost like family. It isn’t a fancy place, but the nights are cool and you can hear the goats and chickens in the garden. The only letdown was that we had hot water on the first day only.

The room was simple but comfortable, with a good heater and reliable hot water. The owner was really kind and always answered my messages, and the mother who was there was friendly too. Her cooking was very good, and the prices were reasonable for the Faralya area. I’d recommend this place to anyone.

Breakfast was freshly made and really good, at prices that seemed fair for everyone. It’s a lovely family-run village house restaurant, with a spectacular view of the mountains near the butterfly valley.

I paid 30 Lira to sleep on the open veranda, which was inexpensive. It was the end of October, I had a bed to myself, and it wasn’t cold, so sleeping outside was fine. The pension is clean and looks nice around the lunch and tea area. There’s a small shop with snacks, drinks, eggs, tomatoes and a few other fresh things, though the food and shop prices felt high. The view doesn’t face into the valley, but it’s still pretty. The veranda facilities were worn and poorly maintained, though more or less clean. Rooms started at 120 Lira. The woman looking after the place was friendly and spoke workable English. Knowing what I know now, I wouldn’t stay here again.

Dinner and breakfast were included in our booking, and both were generous. Dinner was a feast, all delicious, and we couldn’t finish it. Breakfast was a traditional Turkish spread with huge portions. After a long hike, we found the room far better than expected: cosy, with a private bathroom and a really comfortable bed. A perfect spot to recover after a hike, or just to stay.
