Alesta Yacht Hotel

The rooms are small, but comfortable, with little balconies overlooking the harbor. The hotel sits right on the water, and the rooftop restaurant and bar serve good dinners and a nice breakfast buffet. Recommended.

We only stayed one night before catching the ferry to Rhodes, and the location made that very convenient. It’s also easy to walk to restaurants, bars, and markets in the main part of town, while the hotel itself felt quiet and cosy. I wish we’d had more time there beyond sleeping and getting ready for the ferry. Our room had a fantastic view and was large and well-equipped. I think it was in the annex, so getting there meant taking the elevator and changing buildings, but that small hassle was worth it for the space and outlook. Valet parking was great, too, and everyone was friendly and kind. When we ran into trouble, the front desk and valet staff went out of their way to help with extra assistance. They were more accommodating than I expected, and I’m grateful to them.

We had a lovely holiday, helped by visiting in October as the season was winding down and things were less busy. This is a small hotel suited to a short break, and it’s for adults, not people with children. The rooms were comfortable, with lovely views over the bay, though it could get a little loud at times. The plunge pool is tiny and freezing, with just six loungers, so I’m not sure how they manage in high season. Breakfast was okay but the same every day. They ran out of English tea most days, and when I asked for more, I was simply told it was finished. The cleaners and reception staff were friendly and helpful.

A straightforward, very clean hotel by the marina, with lovely sea views and mountains behind it. At the rooftop Alarga Restaurant, BARAN and BERAT were attentive and gave good service. The food was good, and some menu dishes were actually better priced than at nearby local restaurants.
