Alis Fethiye Hotel

The whole place felt dirty and neglected. Our room was crawling with bedbugs, and the two mothers and two children in our group ended up sleeping by the swimming pool. We were covered in bites. This is completely unacceptable. The staff didn’t seem surprised, and the boss refused to refund the full cost of that night. Avoid this hotel.

We paid in advance through Agoda for two rooms for two nights, then drove from Kaş toward Fethiye. Check-in was listed as 14:00 to midnight, and we arrived in the evening. The receptionist said there were no rooms for us and claimed the hotel no longer worked with Agoda, which supposedly refused to remove the listing despite repeated requests. That turned out to be a lie. They offered an apartment elsewhere in town, but said we had to pay extra. We were tired, unfamiliar with the city, and had little choice, so we paid rather than spend the night in our rental car. They gave us a free dinner at the hotel before we went to the apartment. I doubt they would have done that if we hadn’t paid extra. I won’t review the apartment beyond saying it was something like an Airbnb and not very clean. The dinner tasted and looked more like leftovers from lunch or even breakfast. We slept there, then returned to the hotel the next morning for breakfast and to ask about a refund. The prepayment was non-refundable, but we had arrived on the check-in date and the rooms we’d booked and paid for weren’t available. They repeated that we had to contact Agoda, so we did, then left to book another hotel in nearby Ölüdeniz. After several days of messages, Agoda said its partner, the hotel, claimed we had never arrived. From our experience, the hotel lied to us about working with Agoda, then told Agoda we hadn’t shown up. We lost the money paid for two rooms and two nights. It seemed they had double-booked the rooms and profited from that, then also made money by renting us their apartment when we were tired from the drive and needed to rest. There are many better options in Fethiye. Stay away, or at least don’t pay anything in advance.

We’ve stayed here for years and always have a great time. They treat us like family. There’s a buffet every evening, and it’s really good value. The hotel is well placed for a walk into Fethiye, or Calis is just a five-minute taxi ride away.

Worst hotel in all of Turkey. They’re far too demanding about money, and the owner changes what he says every few minutes. There’s no respect for customers. The trip’s mood was completely spoiled. The air conditioning didn’t work, there was no fridge, the room wasn’t cleaned, and the staff were pathetic. Please don’t even consider booking here, even if you could stay for free.
