Hotel Doruk

We stayed for two nights in March, when the weather was chilly and cold. The room was tidy and clean, with a balcony looking out over the sea, port, and mountains. The shower got hot enough and the air conditioning worked well. Breakfast had a good range of choices. The location was convenient too, just a few minutes' walk from Carrefour and the old town.

The location is the only thing I found wonderful here. The staff seemed careless, and after long discussions it became clear to me that this reflected the owners' perspective. There were no amenities, no Wi-Fi, and no water in the rooms, so it wasn't worth the money. When I called for help with the Wi-Fi, a staff member disrespectfully hung up on me and asked whether I could get a plate. The breakfast chief was literally mocking guests. Don't trust the Booking.com scam reviews. I can't recommend this place at all.

It was a good stay, and the room was clean and tidy. The beds were small and hard, with our legs hanging off the end. The breakfast felt mediocre for the price, so we only ate it once and went elsewhere on the other mornings. There was a lovely, refreshing pool, and the staff were helpful and kind. The town centre was a short walk away, with plenty of tour booking options close by. The laundry next door was great value and very handy for washing our clothes.

The safe didn't work, so I took some of my things with me to dinner and hid the rest in the room. When I got back, they were gone. I asked the lobby to check with the staff, but got the usual answer: “Sorry, nothing was found.” The air conditioning was making a terrible noise, so bring good earplugs. This is the first time I've ever written this kind of review, and I won't go back.
