La Farine Rooms

This was our best stay during two months in Turkey. The hotel was quiet, clean, and so well maintained it felt almost new. I first found it through a booking site, then went in and paid by credit card directly so I could see the room. It was far more than I expected: lots of room for luggage, a modern, comfortable bedroom, a sitting room with a desk and sofa, and a great view of the marina. There were two full bathrooms, and the shower was the cleanest we've had in Turkey, which says a lot about how carefully the owners look after the property. The room also had a mini fridge and kettle. We enjoyed breakfast in the cute cafe downstairs. There were hard-boiled eggs, salad greens, tomatoes, cucumber, olives, cheese, tasty sourdough, oranges, and excellent coffee and tea. The staff were wonderful too. The hotel is only three minutes from the ferry terminal. Tilos Travel handles the winter crossings to Rhodes.

We came in the off season, and it was incredible value. The beautiful room had two full rooms and two full bathrooms, plus a Juliet balcony over the marina with dramatic sunsets. Breakfast was included and we really enjoyed it. We'd have stayed longer, but had a schedule.

Room 303 was neat and clean, with modern decor, bathroom, and amenities. The marina and mountain views were amazing. Hasan at reception was always helpful, and the hotel faces the Marina, right by the old town. Breakfast was basic but delicious, and there were complimentary slippers and water bottles each day. Wifi was available. You can reach the city centre and surrounding area on foot, and there's a nearby Dolmus(D) taxi stop for easy access to Ortoga bus Station and places around it. From 4pm to midnight you can enter through the restaurant, otherwise there's a back-street entrance. We did hear a little street noise, and the room was next to a public toilet used by restaurant patrons.

The room had a great view, and the location was handy for the piers and downtown. Staff were nice, and breakfast was very good.
