Hotel Mendos

The staff were so kind to us, and we had a great overnight stay at Mendos Garden. Our kids loved the pool, and the bar was great. After a wonderful breakfast, we walked to the beach for a swim. I’d highly recommend this hotel.

The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and we really enjoyed our 11 days here. The beach was lovely and clean, just 50m away. Our room matched the photos and was cleaned daily. Breakfast was good, and the pool stayed clean with sunbeds available whenever we wanted one. WiFi in our room was a little troublesome, but it worked quite well by the pool. We’re already thinking about coming back next year! 😄

The staff were so lovely and helpful with anything my husband, little boy, or I needed. Nothing seemed too much trouble. The hotel is well placed for the beach, restaurants, and shops, with the water taxi to fethiye just around the corner and the dolmus stop a street away. We booked the day before and flew out two weeks ago, so didn’t have much time to compare places. The hotel turned out to be a pleasant surprise: very clean, with a good-sized ground floor family room. The bed was huge, and after some confusion about my son’s age, they quickly replaced his travel cot with a put-up bed. Everything was comfortable, with lovely cotton sheets and pillows. The pool area was fantastic, with plenty of very comfortable sunbeds. The bar was great, and the restaurant food was lovely and very reasonably priced. WiFi worked well 95% of the time around the pool, bar, and in our room. We only got up for breakfast twice, but there was plenty of hot and cold food, tea, coffee, water, and juice. We’d definitely choose this hotel again if we return to the area.

The rooms were clean and modern, the staff were helpful, and the beach is nearby. The buffet food wasn’t bad, though it could have had more variety. A few things let the stay down. There was no free drinking water at breakfast or dinner, so guests had to buy it at the bar for more than the market price. I’ve travelled from Thailand to Mexico and never seen that setup. None of the rooms really suit three adults, and the third bed is poor. If your child is older or you have an extra adult, keep in mind that the sofa is very uncomfortable. Many German guests stay here and seem to expect everyone to speak German, as if only Germans are welcome. The staff were nicer to them than to others. The owners seem to think they bring in more money because they return every year. The pool was dirty. The cleaning staff skipped our room the day before checkout, apparently knowing we’d leave the next day.
