Midilli Konak Foca

Even without booking a sea-view room, we got lovely views from the hotel's location. The room also had a delightful scent, which made the stay memorable. The staff were so courteous and accommodating, and the service was amazing. I'll definitely come back ❤️

The place that stayed with me after leaving was Foça. I was listening to Sezen Aksu on the way back, singing about leaving her heart in the Aegean, and wondered if she'd left hers here too. Mine certainly felt like it had. The owner picked me up from Izmir and was a great guide as well. I was struck by how he worked alongside the staff and treated them like family. They made me feel like a valued guest in that family. The hospitality, from booking to breakfast delivered to my room, was five-star. A balcony can offer a wonderful view in plenty of places, but that kind of warmth is harder to find. Midilli Konak is a lovely stone building in the centre of Foça, about a ten-minute walk by the sea. After such a good experience, I know I'll keep coming back to Foça, and staying here.

There's a pier right in front of the hotel, so getting into the sea for a swim is easy. Restaurants are also within walking distance, while the hotel sits in a quieter part of town where bars won't keep you awake. It's a family-run place on the coast of Eski Foca, good for a relaxed Mediterranean stay. The rooms have street-facing balconies where you can sit with some Raki and watch people go by. I took my sunset photo from there.

We only stayed one night, but the staff were warm and professional, and the room was clean and a good size. Midilli Konak is a cozy little hotel right at the start of Old Foça, in a great spot. The one uncomfortable part was the double bed, which was just two single beds pushed together. Still, I liked the place enough that I'd probably stay there again if I return. Thanks to everyone.
