After driving 500 kilometers, we couldn't find another place to stay, and the hotel acted as if it was the one inconvenienced when we didn't stay. We had sent a 2,500 lira deposit, but they returned 500 lira less, saying it was tax. You can't invoice a service that wasn't provided, and even then 10% would be 250 lira. Since we'd booked two rooms, they kept 500 lira because they said we were causing trouble for the hotel. The location is great, but the hotel is run terribly. At reception, a staff member's small child was asleep on a shabby, old sofa. We booked two rooms, and the women said the upstairs room was more spacious. Its windows were screwed shut, though, and it smelled terribly damp. The bathroom and toilet were filthy, and the duvets had no covers. They showed us a dry cleaning invoice and said the bedding was washed daily, but the invoice was dated the 16th when it was supposed to be the 23rd. When we said we didn't like the supposedly spacious room, an employee told us, "If you don't like this room, you won't like the other room at all." It's an extremely mediocre, cheap hotel. Walking in gave me the feeling that the morality unit might be carrying out a dawn operation.

As someone who manages in tourism, I'm sharing this after one night at Fazilet Hanım Konağı as a serious warning and a way to help improve the service. Being near the city center is a real advantage, but the poor service and operating standards kept it from translating into guest satisfaction. The room needed a thorough clean and dusting. There were cigarette butts and empty drink cans on the balcony, the minibar was dirty and unhygienic, and the bed linens weren't laid properly. There were no duvet covers or guest slippers, hot water was insufficient, and the check-in and check-out processes were incomplete. The furniture, textiles, accessories, and other furnishings in both the rooms and common areas were worn and neglected. We paid for parking, and the way it was presented gave the false impression that the hotel had an arrangement with the lot, but the entire fee was charged to us. The prices are comparable to well-known, high-standard hotels in the region, yet the service doesn't meet that level. Price and service balance has a direct effect on guest satisfaction, and there's a serious gap here. Under the current conditions, I can't recommend the property. If the hotel improves cleaning and maintenance, makes guest information more transparent, and adjusts prices to match the service, Fazilet Hanım Konağı could become a place worth recommending. I hope the management considers this feedback a constructive warning and a call to improve.

The location is the only good thing, and even that doesn't make this hotel a good choice. We booked it just to sleep for a few hours, but after seeing the rooms we knew we couldn't stay even half an hour. The furniture was filthy, the toilets hadn't been cleaned, and there weren't any sheets on the beds. The windows wouldn't open, and the rooms felt frightening, with a strong damp, dirty smell. Hygiene is nonexistent. You couldn't find a worse hotel. Pick somewhere that isn't a guesthouse.

The location is convenient, near restaurants and the market, but we paid 2000 TL and the water was cold. I got an electric shock when I touched an outlet to turn on the light. The materials seemed 30 years old, so don't touch it with wet hands unless you want to jump around dancing. They put us in a 1+1 room. The double bedroom was like a morgue, and even the air conditioning couldn't warm it. We tried sleeping on the floor near the entrance, but there was only a single bed. We were miserable and left that evening saying "damn it". It was a bad experience.
