Limnos Hotel

Set up in the hills, the hotel looks out over the golden sands of Gizli Liman and has wonderful sea views. The quality was good throughout: spacious rooms with balconies, huge showers, and excellent air conditioning. We also enjoyed a few refreshing swims in the lovely large pool. The price was very reasonable for what you get. Highly recommended!

The view was lovely, but there was no TV in the room, and the price felt a little high for what was offered.

The view is fantastic, and the rooms are both attractive and practical. Breakfast has a great selection, while the other food is good and fairly priced. The staff are attentive and polite.

The best part for me was sitting on the sea-facing balcony at night, looking up at the stars and the Milky Way. There are no lights nearby, which makes the sky especially lovely. We stayed in the third week of August, and it took about 35 minutes to reach the hotel after getting off the ferry. The drive to Uğurlu Beach is only three minutes, another real plus. The hotel was quiet and relaxing, without a bothersome crowd or noise. Most guests seemed to be families or couples, and even with children around, we didn't hear disruptive noise. The young staff were very polite and treated us with respect. We usually ate dinner at the hotel restaurant. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. Breakfast had everything we needed and was more than enough, though anyone expecting the 60-70 item buffet found at all-inclusive hotels might be disappointed. There isn't much around the hotel. The restaurant meant we didn't need anything, but the nearest village is 5-6 km away if you do. Mobile reception is absent, and roaming phones may connect to Greece, so switching roaming off can prevent surprise charges. The Wi-Fi worked, so the lack of signal didn't bother me much. Flies weren't a big problem, but I would have liked mosquito screens on the windows. The road up to the hotel is a dirt hill, and I think it could have been improved given how long the place has been open. Cleanliness was adequate, though a few areas were dusty when we arrived. The layout also means rooms in the back blocks require quite a few stairs from reception and the restaurant, so I don't think they're suitable for older or disabled guests. It worked very well for us, and we'd happily stay here again if we return to the island.
