Carus Cappadocia Hotel

Fatma made breakfast feel especially welcoming each morning. She remembered what we’d ordered before and often knew what we wanted the next day. The team also marked my birthday with a song, cake, and card, and packed breakfast for us when an early flight meant we’d miss it on our last day. Everyone was quick to respond and very helpful throughout our five nights at Carus. Our Suite with French Balcony was spacious and had a lovely view, and the central location was ideal for walking around Goreme. We enjoyed lunch or dinner at the hotel restaurant too, especially the Haruna Special, which was exceptional. We visited the pool once. It’s in a very cool cave, but it was too cold for us, so we only stayed 5-10 minutes. Sauna and massage options are available as well. One drawback was the noise from nearby venues. We heard loud music until about midnight or 1am most nights, and until around 2:30am on the last one. I’m not sure whether our room’s location played a part, and the hotel can’t control the surrounding venues, but light sleepers may want to keep it in mind.

The rooftop was a lovely place to unwind in the evening with a glass of wine, and we really enjoyed the view. Breakfast had plenty of tasty choices, and Madame Fatma greeted us warmly each day and was happy to help. We also want to thank Mr. Rusif, who welcomed us at reception, showed us around, and was hospitable and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel has a peaceful design and excellent service, with a friendly, helpful staff. We loved our time here and would recommend it to anyone visiting Cappadocia.

Fatma Hanım’s warm smile was something my wife and I looked forward to at breakfast each morning. The breakfast itself was extraordinary, and the restaurant was outstanding. The hotel was clean and conveniently located, with a lovely pool and sauna. Our stay and the whole team were excellent.

Breakfast had few vegetarian choices for us, but Fatma arranged fresh vegetables, French fries, and other dishes that suited us even though they weren’t part of the usual buffet. Her cheerful manner, attentiveness, and genuine care made the mornings much better. She was exceptionally friendly and polite while helping us at Carus Hotel’s restaurant. That kind of thoughtful hospitality deserves special appreciation.
