Büyük Hotel

There isn't a swimming pool here. For a beach umbrella and chair, you have to pay 250 lira, though swimming in the public area further along is free. The location is handy for shopping, and breakfast at the Italian restaurant with a view was amazing. We were disappointed by many things, though. Our standard room faced an inner building, and a sea-facing room costs an extra €30 per night. Nights were very noisy. The bathroom was tiny, shower pressure was the worst I've experienced, and the towels were rough to touch. There was no duvet, just thin sheets, even though the bed and pillow were comfortable. Late checkout past noon costs €10 per hour, but luckily they let us stay two extra hours free so we could rest and then wait in the lounge for our shuttle. The hotel is 360 km from Anatalya airport, and our trip took three hours. On our last night, the breakfast host told us the restaurant was open until midnight. We went in for pizza, but the chef said the kitchen was closed and nobody would make it. He told us to go across the street to a pizza place. That's not great late-night service for a hotel guest.

We had a lovely week at Büyük Hotel. It's clean and comfortable, and the staff were so kind and helpful, always smiling and ready to lend a hand. Thanks for making us feel welcome. We really enjoyed our stay.

The food, location, and price all worked well for me. The room looked lovely, though there was an odd smell in the bathroom, and the balcony door let in all the noise. Still, I’d give it 4 out of 5.

The staff were so helpful, and the breakfast was a real treat. It was served at another hotel across the way, with delicious, nutritious options, and I could eat well as a vegetarian. We also loved walking to restaurants, two lovely beaches, the boardwalk, and the town’s impressive castle. The location is great for shopping too, and the walk up to the castle is a good way to get your steps in. We booked online at a good price. The stylish, social atmosphere was comfortable, and the room was clean enough that we decided to add another night and use it as a place to regroup. There’s a gym, a spa and her mom that you can book at the hotel, and an Italian restaurant on the roof. The Wi-Fi had some problems at first, but they got sorted out. I’d come back, and recommend it for solo travelers, couples, or groups of friends.
