Göreme Stone Age

Yildrim and his wife run the place, and they made us feel like we were visiting family. They were professional, warm, and so helpful with city information, tourist experiences, and all our questions. Our room was spacious and clean, with the basic bathroom facilities. The rooftop seating was tidy and comfortable. Breakfast was included, and we loved the fresh, hot, soft omelette so much we could’ve had two. On our last day they gave us a card with lunch and invited us to return. We told them we didn’t need the card because this is the only place we’d come back to. A wonderful stay, 10/10, I’d recommend it to everyone.

The location made it easy to get around: Göreme Center was 5-10 minutes away on foot, Love, Sword, Rose, and Pigeon Valleys were a comfortable 20-30 minute walk, and we reached the top of Uchisar Castle in about an hour. We had a fantastic time at Göreme Stone Age and will recommend it to friends and family visiting Cappadocia. The couple who own and run it were kind and helpful from the day we booked, sorting out airport transfer, tours and programs, and all our questions. The rooftop terrace is huge, with fantastic views of Göreme and Uchisar Castle. Breakfast had plenty of tasty choices, some changing each day, plus delicious omelettes freshly made for each guest when they came down. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a huge bed and a living area with a big sofa. We especially liked having space to play games or relax when the weather was bad.

We had plenty of room and privacy as a family of three, and our clean, comfortable room had a lovely balcony view. It was quiet at night even though the hotel is central, close to restaurants and places to walk. Staff were welcoming and happy to arrange activities and airport transfers. The traditional Turkish breakfast was delicious. A fabulous stay at a lovely boutique hotel, highly recommend!

The owners, Yildirim and his wife, made this cozy, homely place feel welcoming and were also helpful in showing guests around town. I’d recommend it to anyone wanting a friendly atmosphere near the city center.
