Guzide Cave Hotel

We were a group of seven and had a fantastic time here. It's a charming, cozy place, and the kind hospitality was definitely the highlight. If you like a cute, cozy space, I'd recommend it.

Even though it was -8 outside, the unique rooms with local touches stayed warm and cozy. Breakfast was included and good, with plenty of local options as well as pancakes and other things. The location at the top of Goreme was ideal. The owner and her niece were available if we needed help without being intrusive. When heavy snow diverted our flight to another airport, the owner didn't charge us for the transfer we missed. I'd happily return if I come back to Goreme.

Guzide was kind and easy to reach. She let us check out late for free in one of the three rooms we booked. The location is perfect in Goreme, and the rooms were good. The restaurant only serves complimentary breakfast, with nothing available at other times. Housekeeping is also limited to a few hours rather than being available around the clock. Since you're usually out exploring Cappadocia, morning housekeeping was enough for us.

Breakfast runs from 8am-10am, and the homemade bakery was especially delicious. We could take breakfast to our room or eat at any of the outdoor seating around the property. Tea and coffee were available from the kitchen day or night, and the Guzide family staff treated us very well. They even let us wait at the hotel for a few hours for our airport pickup. The hotel is beautiful, and it's about a seven-minute walk to the sunset point for sunset views or sunrise balloons. We booked two rooms for four people and requested a ground-floor room for an elderly family member. The second-floor rooms require climbing two flights of stairs. Our rooms were spacious, with nice toiletries, a hairdryer, and a fridge that's handy for food, drinks, or medication. They can arrange balloon rides if you ask the day before, depending on availability. We were quoted around 170-210 euros per person, with prices varying between peak and off-peak seasons. Bring cash, as they aren't accepting card payments for this at the moment. I expect they can also help arrange other tours and activities. I'd choose to stay here again in Goreme.
