The room itself was decent, but the way I was treated left me feeling like they were trying to rip off tourists. I strongly do not recommend staying here. I stayed one night at Sapphire Stone Hotel. They couldn’t find my booking, so I paid cash for the room. At checkout the next day, they said my earlier booking had been canceled and the hotel had to pay the agency extra commission, then tried to make me cover that cost. That’s a matter between the hotel and the agency, not my responsibility. I was stuck arguing at reception for 30 minutes before they finally let me leave. The whole experience was shocking.

The breakfast was fantastic, the location was good, and our room was excellent. The online photos can give a misleading impression, though, since some lower floor rooms aren’t particularly appealing. If you get the room you booked, I’d still recommend the hotel. Just don’t let yourself be palmed off with an inferior one. The reason I’m not giving five stars is the arrogant young guy at the desk. He told me a load of nonsense, tried to rip me off for a couple of lira, then argued when I challenged him. He kept arguing for no reason other than to massage his inflated ego. Quite a start to a relaxing holiday. Unbelievable.

Breakfast on the rooftop eating area was amazing, and the facilities were great. The hotel is on a quiet street near the town centre, so it’s central without being noisy.

From outside it looks like a small hotel, but the bedrooms, especially the one on the balcony, are spacious. I loved it, and you can see the balloon from the windows. The staff were friendly and helpful, and quick to respond about airport transport or activities around Cappadocia. Recommended, and I’ll be here next time!

The rooftop view was perfect, and breakfast was delicious. My room was clean and had enough space for two huge suitcases. Even after checkout, the staff were kind: they kept our luggage and let us wait in the lobby for our tours. This hotel made our time in Cappadocia much better, and I strongly recommend it.
