This is my third stay here with my husband, and I really like coming back. Beydağ Hotel is clean and nice, but what stays with me most is the peace: lying on a clean bed by the pool, hearing the water and birds, looking at the gorgeous green Beydag mountain view, breathing in the fresh air and scent of nature, and tasting Sakine lady's delicious handmade food. It feels wonderful to be here.

It's a clean, peaceful hotel where I could really settle into the natural surroundings. That was a marvelous experience, and it's rare to find that kind of feeling when I think of the big resorts. 😉😉😍😍

The caring family who runs this charming, peaceful hotel were very helpful with suggestions for places to visit. It's tucked at the foot of the Beydağları mountains, and seeing turtles wander under the orange trees can make you forget Istanbul's crowds and tiredness. I'd recommend arriving by car; we rented one at the airport. The bus stop is walkable, but I don't know how often the minibuses come. Göynük beach wasn't very practical because all-inclusive hotels have taken over the beaches, so we mostly went to Kemer Ayışığı beach. Göynük Canyon is worth seeing, I think, and you can spend an hour or two there. The entrance fee is 7 lira (September 2017).

The breakfast was fantastic, and the family who run Beydagi Hotel were all very nice and helpful. I highly recommend it for genuine hospitality, good comfort, and quality and cleanliness. It still feels like a family-run hotel rather than a mega-complex, with Western comforts for those who want a quieter stay away from mass tourism. Thanks for a wonderful time in Turkey, with a real feel-good factor.
