Cappadocia Plus Hotel

There’s basically nothing nearby, and the hotel is poorly located. Balloon companies wouldn’t pick up here, so the only option for an early flight was booking through a tour operator. Most guests seemed to be there for Cappadocia tours, and the operators didn’t seem to care about much beyond finding a cheap place for their customers. I guess this hotel fit that bill. Meals at breakfast and dinner were okay at best, and the food felt like two-star quality or lower. The air conditioning also didn’t work well.

The hotel is much farther up the hill than its Google location suggests, which made it hard to find. At check-in, the reception signs weren’t clear, but the manager rudely accused us of not staying there. We asked for air conditioning, and staff switched it on for about five minutes. The room stayed extremely hot all night.

The room was far too hot, and when we asked reception to switch on the air conditioning, they left it running for only about five minutes. It stayed hot all night. When we arrived, a staff member yelled at us for bringing bikes onto the grounds even though we were still outside, then refused to help us find the lobby or let us ask questions. A miserable stay, and not cheap. Terrible experience.

It’s a small town, far from Cappadocia’s tourist attractions. The hotel has two floors and no elevator, and nobody helps with luggage, so you have to carry everything up the stairs yourself. The air conditioning is centralized, so you can’t choose whether you want heating or cooling.
