The beach is the highlight, with lovely restaurants, shops and a few places for entertainment nearby. Camping here is affordable for the Bodrum area, the facilities are good, and the site feels secure. Some evenings also have entertainment. Getting to the car park can be awkward because the dirt ramp is steep and uneven, and cars parked on it at night make access harder.

Even with the bad weather, I enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and the rain. The people at the camp were welcoming, caring, funny and easygoing. I only found the place when my holiday was nearly over, so I wish I'd come sooner. The staff are sincere and helpful, including with small Bodrum hassles like getting around, where there is no Uber and local taxis can be very expensive. Wanderheaven Camp is a small, friendly place where you can bring your own tent, rent one, or choose a bungalow or caravan. The bungalows have air conditioning. Prices are low and the quality is decent, especially compared with seaside cafes where a beer can cost twice as much despite the camp being only 50 meters away. It suits a relaxed holiday if you don't need a luxury hotel or want to pay the high pension prices. Rest during the heat, have a drink in the evening while residents play instruments and sing local songs, or join in, play with the camp dogs and kittens, or just take it easy. Everyone is kind and hospitable.

The place was clean and cosy, and the staff were friendly. It was easy to spend time enjoying Gümüşlük and then return whenever we wanted to our safe camping area. My girlfriend and I were here for the first time, but we're sure it won't be our last.
