The staff were really friendly, and the rooms were cleaned every day. They’re spread across small buildings with six rooms apiece, and ours was roomy and clean. The beach is right there, with clear water and a peaceful neighborhood. Shops and restaurants are nearby too. Breakfast was pretty standard, but there was plenty.

The hotel itself is well designed, clean, and right by the sea. The rooms don’t face one another, and breakfast was good. But the restaurant next to the beach plays tacky pop music all day, every day. It just doesn’t suit the place.

The Wi-Fi is a joke, so keep your phone hotspot on. The air conditioning didn’t work in any of the rooms, and even after we called twice in one day, the maintenance guy came by and did nothing. They didn’t seem to care. Don’t stay here unless sleeping in a sauna sounds good to you.

We stayed as a family in 2017, after coming from Boston. We picked the hotel on Expedia because the price in Gundogan suited us, but the owners told us to our faces that we’d stayed cheaply. We had simply booked early, which is why we paid less. They should have been more polite. I’d never stay there again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

We liked both the rooms and where the hotel is.
