El Puente Cave Hotel

The internet was constantly under maintenance, so staying connected was impossible. The staff also seemed unfriendly and unstable. After our second day tour, we came back to a room that had barely been cleaned: only the trash had been removed and the bag replaced. The bed wasn't made, the towels hadn't been changed, and the shower gel had been left open, among other things. Breakfast on the first morning was disappointing too. There was just some sliced cucumber and tomato, one kind of cheese, a little toast, and a boiled egg, with no other choices. The hotel seemed average on day one, but the rest of our stay at El Puente Cave Hotel Ibrahim Paşa NEVSEHIR, booked through Travel Shop Turkey, was far below acceptable standards. I can't recommend it.

The food was great, especially the home cooked meals from the master chef. The family and staff were friendly and very helpful. Each room has its own character and looks beautiful and authentic, and the views are wonderful. It was clean and safe, with comfort and price that felt quite adequate. It's close to the city center. We weren't impressed by the food, which was acceptable but nothing to recommend, and it was quite a long way from the notable tourist activities. During our two-night stay, the room wasn't serviced, so the towels were damp after the first use. It's a quirky hotel, but our room was dark and dank, with a tiny window that wouldn't open. There was no airflow and it smelled musty, so we had to leave the door open just to get some fresh air.

The garden was a lovely spot to relax and have some quiet time, and the view was beautiful. This cave hotel is in a quaint little village near Goreme. The owners were very warm and hospitable, and the food was fresh, homemade, and authentic. The rooms are truly unique. I had a lovely stay and would love to return.
