We were kept awake around 1 or 2 am by loud conversations and laughter from people sitting just about 10 feet from our window. There was no discipline around the bar late at night. The pool also needs more umbrellas, and there are no room safes. Food and drinks cost a lot, as does the air conditioning at £65 a week. We stayed from June 5th to 14th, and this was our second visit. I had requested a pool view, but instead we got a room overlooking the new sunbathing terrace above the pool bar, with no privacy. The rooms could use an upgrade. I would never stay here again or recommend it. Avoid it if you know what's best.

We were able to sleep well because the hotel was quiet, though it was a good walk to the bars and other places. The lovely views from our room at the back of the building were a nice start to our week in July. The rooms were small and dirty, with black mould in the shower. Towels and bedding were changed once during the week, and I don't think the floors were cleaned. The air conditioning cost £68 for the week and didn't work very well. Drinks and food at the bar were expensive, and there were only four umbrellas around the sunbeds, with too few tables. Guests who had stayed before seemed to be treated differently, for example, they got free shots. They only take cash, so bring enough. For good food, drinks and great staff, Rush Bar is a good place to visit. They also offer pickup and drop-off.

The pool is a good size, and we never had trouble finding a sunbed. It's a real suntrap, though the fixed umbrellas give decent shade. The food here is exceptionally good, and the staff are friendly and work hard. It's a quiet location, just a few minutes' walk from the shops and other places. Taxis are very cheap for getting around.

The cleaners were lovely, friendly and incredibly hardworking, even though my Turkish is basic. The staff in general were always polite and helpful, and I didn't notice any favouritism. There are lots of regulars, which I can understand. We arrived hot and tired at about 2 am, and Dilek greeted us warmly. The hotel is in a quiet spot with lovely views, though the slope up from the main area is quite a workout in the heat. If you have mobility issues, you'd probably need a taxi or other transport. We chose Tokmak because it looked like a small, peaceful hotel, and it was my family's first time in Içmeler. The room was bigger and nicer than I'd expected, with pretty much everything we needed. It felt a little tired, though, and a wardrobe hinge needed fixing. The sofa bed my daughter used wasn't very comfortable. I liked the key card system, which was easier than a key. The bar area felt basic, and the pool table has seen better days. We often stayed out at bars late, so we got to the pool after lunchtime. Even then we could find sunbeds, but often had to wait for a parasol. Sometimes people left towels on beds all day without being around, which was disappointing, though we could still find a place to sit. I totally recommend the hotel for what it is, though it's not the Ritz. I'd love to stay again and hope to see everyone next year. Thanks for making our first visit to Içmeler wonderful.

The bar has a nice little menu at fair prices, and the staff are friendly and polite. The apartments are clean and quiet, tucked away with not much happening at night apart from music on the TV. In town, though, there's loads going on at cheap prices, so you can't grumble. I'd highly recommend dajavue. They're meant to be self-catering, but the kitchen is so limited it's hard even to make a sandwich. It has two electric rings, a fridge, toaster and kettle, so I'd treat the apartment as a base if I booked again. Our biggest disappointment was getting twin beds when we thought we'd booked a double. Air conditioning costs £35 for a one-bedroom apartment or £70 for a two-bedroom one. The safe is £15 a week, and late checkout is another £15. We'd definitely return. This was during covid19, so things might change afterward.
