That first impression says it all: amazed! The hotel sits among snow-covered pine woods in the calmest part of the area. Reception is just the start. The rooms were perfectly clean, heated, and had hot water. Breakfast each day mixed international choices with Turkish specialties. There’s also a brilliant pool, sauna, Turkish hamam, and a perfect Thai massage available each evening. We skied at Yurdun Tepe, 3km away, with its six-seat cable car and slopes between 1838m and 2330m. The standout is the host, Mr. Hakan, a warm-hearted, well-meaning manager who has everything under control. Let yourself be enchanted by this winter fairytale. You’ll never forget it!

The room was spacious, cozy, and good. But the towels were disgusting, with holes and dirty stains, and room service didn’t clean it at all. Breakfast was a disaster, with very poor food, and the coffee machine was broken. The TV in the lobby was broken too, and nobody seemed to pay attention to it or fix it. It’s definitely not a five-star hotel. Maybe it is in winter, but in summer I’d call it three stars. If management can’t maintain a five-star hotel off season, my advice is not to open it during summer at all!

We stayed in 03.2021 with our two kids in a junior suite, which was comfortable for four, apart from the small, hard sofa bed for the children. The restaurant had enough food options, though we didn’t find the food tasty. We ate one night in the a la carte restaurant, and that was a bit better. I’d been hesitant after reading the negative reviews, but for the prices they ask, we were happy with the hotel. The reception staff were a bit unfriendly. If you’re going skiing, avoid the hotel’s sunroom. It was the worst I’ve ever seen.

We spent a week here through the RCI exchange/vacation programme. The self-catering units sleep up to four people, and the property is next to the skiing centre, with great hiking trails nearby.

There’s a ski rental store, and the hotel runs shuttles to two ski lifts in the area, one 1 km away and the other 5km away. It’s the best hotel around Ilgaz Mountain and Ski Center, with more options than other places nearby. The complex is relatively new and has more to offer, though the price is higher.
