Airport Residence Kurtkoy

The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel works for a straightforward stay. Getting to reception from the main entrance took longer than I expected, which was inconvenient. When we asked staff where to find non-Turkish food nearby, they didn’t offer much help. It was an average experience, with some room to improve.

There’s no microwave in the kitchen, so you can’t heat up food. The toilet seat was broken underneath and patched with glue, and I’d only consider staying here for a few hours near the airport. The listing says the rooms are air conditioned, but the apartment had just one unit in the hallway, and it only ran on fan mode, with no cooling. When I asked reception for another fan, the guy didn’t understand English and gestured as if he didn’t care before walking off. Better avoid.

I spent three weeks here and had a great stay. My room was huge, more like a two bedroom apartment, with a lounge and a small kitchenette with a fridge, freezer, and gas hob. The cleaners were brilliant and came back while I was out when I needed to sleep in. The room was spotless each time. Reception was helpful from the beginning, and the hotel is very close to the airport. My taxi cost 100tl. Breakfast had a great choice, including the full Turkish breakfast I expected. A very good place for a stopover or for a night before the next day's flight. I'll be back, thanks to everyone.

The room was spacious, clean, and good, with a little kitchen. There weren’t any utensils, though, so really all I could do with it was heat water. There’s no restaurant in the hotel, but reception kindly helped me order food. I’m giving three stars because the airport transport information wasn’t clear. I was traveling alone and arriving late, so I’d chosen this hotel looking for an airport shuttle. I emailed two weeks ahead, and they told me to contact them a day before arrival to arrange it. When I got back in touch, I was told there was no shuttle and to book a local taxi. At 11 PM I struggled to find one at the airport that didn’t charge me three times the proper price. I wish they’d been upfront from the start so I could have booked a transfer myself.
