The owners were quick to respond and added a personal touch, and the place was very clean with fast Wi-Fi. I stayed five nights and had a great time. As a Turkish person who knows Istanbul, I’d tell visitors from abroad that this is a lively, pleasant, and safe neighborhood.

We’ve just returned from our second visit, which says a lot about this charming little place. Borat is a lovely host and always looks after guests. We tried both the larger top-floor apartment and a studio on a lower floor, and both worked well for us. The neighborhood is great, with easy access to buses, the ferry, shops, and attractions.

The duplex matched the photos and was comfortable for two. Since we were staying a while, Mert even upgraded us. He was also available day or night when we had questions, and arranged for someone to come to the flat for our travel PCR test. He offered weekly cleaning and fresh linens, though I’d suggest bringing your own towels. There are cafes, small restaurants, a metrobus stop, and a taxi stand just steps away. The water is only a few hundred meters off, with more places to eat and shop, cafes, and evening entertainment. That convenient location can get rowdy late at night. The area felt nice and safe to us.
