Berlin Otel Nişantaşı

This was a nightmare, the worst hotel experience I've had. I booked because it was a little cheaper and close to the event I was attending, but I would gladly have traveled a few kilometers more if I'd known how bad it would be. The walls are so thin that you hear every sound from next door. The Arab guests in the next room talked loudly in the middle of the night until 4 or 5 in the morning, and repeated calls to reception didn't really stop the noise. I asked to move rooms in the end, but they wouldn't give me another one. The bathroom was awful too. The furniture and shower cubicle were damaged, and there was dirt behind the cabinets left by previous guests. I wouldn't advise anyone to stay even one night.

The rooms were cramped and dark, with no view from the windows, and the fridge didn't work. The bathrooms were dirty. Getting to the hotel meant navigating extremely narrow streets, and the place felt like it was hanging on a mountain. I booked a room with breakfast included, but in the morning they told me it wasn't included and that I had to pay if I wanted to eat. This is one of the worst hotels I've ever booked. I won't consider staying again and don't recommend it.

I ended up staying for two days after some last-minute plans changed. The staff were really understanding and made room for me. As far as I know, this is the city's fashion district, with lots of new places opening that might be worth checking out.

The location is great, and check-in was quick. They speak decent English, and you just show your passport for the 2pm check-in. But of the three cheapest discounted Expedia rooms I stayed in, this was the worst. Fatih Corner or Roomers would be better options. This room wasn't in a basement like Roomers, though Roomers has cool candles down there, so you can skip the elevator, lol. If smoke bothers you, I'd avoid this place. The whole building seemed like a chimney, as is common around here, but my room smelled of smoke all the time. Maybe the cheaper rooms are all smoker rooms.
