Black Palace Hotel

Even though I was there just one night, I liked the hotel enough to pick it for my next trip. The staff were attentive and friendly, especially Ms. Dilan. I wish her every success. Thank you.

I only stayed because I had no choice. The rooms were awful, with a foul smell and sheets that were carelessly arranged and had an odd odor. Towels were missing, and the hallway had trash cans, cleaning supplies, and other things lying around.

We chose the Jacuzzi room, but water leaked from the Jacuzzi. The chairs were broken, with metal digging into you when you sat down. There was hair and dirt on the floor, dirty sheets, and an uncomfortable bed. The TV had no signal, and they sent a guy who spent hours trying to fix it. A terrible experience, and the worst place I've ever seen.

The room and breakfast were good, so I settled on three stars despite several problems. I booked an economy room with breakfast through ETS Tur. When I arrived around 12:00, I asked whether I could leave my belongings in the room. The first male receptionist said no, the cleaning wouldn't be done until 14:00 or 14:30, and I could check in then. His manner dampened our spirits. The next two receptionists, a man and a woman, were good. The room was spacious and nice, and the hot water worked very well when I showered that evening, but it had stopped by morning. The room phone was broken, so I called from my cell. They said they'd fix it, and did so half an hour later, but never told me. It was nearly check-out time. As I was leaving, they said the hot water had been repaired and apologized. The poor first impression from the receptionist left me feeling negative about the hotel.
