Cevvo Hotel 2 Gözdağı

Everything else was very good, from the service to the rooms, and there’s parking near the hotel, which is a big deal in Istanbul. The one thing that bothered me was the smell of smoke in the room. I know smoking in rooms is allowed at many hotels, but it would be nice to have some non-smoking rooms, since the smell can be quite unpleasant for people who don’t smoke.

I was there for many days with my family, and we had a bright, comfortable room with well insulated windows that kept things peaceful at night. The place was clean and tidy. Gözdaği hill is only about five minutes away, and the view over the city from there is spectacular. Thanks to Cevvo, the owner, and all the fantastic staff for helping with my requests and sharing useful information about the neighborhood and the city. Everyone was kind and helpful.

We’d give them 10 out of 10. The location is great, and the staff were amazing. Whatever we needed was taken care of in about five minutes. CEM at reception was on another level with customer service, spending a few hours explaining the neighborhood to us. Everyone was polite and cooperative.

This wasn’t the room I paid for. The halls smelled bad, the shower was dirty and had mould, and the air conditioner had no remote. The carpet was threadbare, there were marks on the walls, and I could hear the neighbours as if they were in my room.
