We couldn't get the bathroom warm, and turning on the water filled both it and the room with steam. It's a basement Economy Room with no window or outside ventilation, and it was cold. Reception heard me complain several times but didn't do anything. They'd even removed the AC remote, so I couldn't use it for heat. The room itself was in poor shape: stained, dirty sheets; towels so worn they felt like sandpaper; and a tiny TV with no internet connection that was basically useless. The bedroom was visible from the alley, with car wheels right outside the window. The place had no view at all. The neighborhood is run-down, with very narrow streets where only one car can pass at once. Although the hotel claims to have parking, there wasn't any, and I spent hours driving around looking for a space on those narrow roads. There was no room service even though I paid, no minibar, and nothing to eat or drink except bottled water. There were no shops nearby, just ruined houses. Public transport was also not close. On foot, reaching a shop or transit meant a walk of at least half an hour up an extremely steep hill, around 60-70 degrees, I'm not joking. This hotel is a disaster, and the so-called Economy Room feels like a scam. I uploaded photos so people can see it for themselves. For what they charge, much better hotels are available. I wanted to warn others so they don't trust those fake "excellent" ratings.

The hotel looks out over the Phosphorus, and the location is excellent. Rooms are roomy and clean, though the bathroom is very small. Service was average, and parking is a problem. There’s no elevator, so expect to carry your bags up the stairs.

The rooms are clean and spacious, with what a tourist needs after a day out exploring. The staff were very polite, respectful, and helpful. On our last night the AC broke, and management didn't charge us for that night, which felt courteous and respectful. I'd stay at Class Hotel again when I visit Istanbul. Breakfast could be better organized. It seems to be outsourced, takes a long time to reach the room, and is only available from 9 to 11. We stayed eight days but only had it twice because we usually left by 9. In my opinion it should start at 8 AM, and arrive within 10 minutes of ordering. There was also a family in two rooms next to ours who kept us from sleeping for three nights until they checked out. The hotel should be firmer with noisy guests. Even with those issues, we had a great experience with the staff and cleanliness.

The terrace view gives you a quick look across Istanbul, and the hotel is very close to sahil (boat cruise). Staff were really nice, and they covered the basic details well: a pleasant room, clean towels, and a fridge stocked with drinks. The street does have some hills, which might suit people who like hiking. Older guests may need a regular cab, though ordering a taxi is easy. Overall, a satisfying stay.

The view is amazing, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. My standard room was "under," which meant stairs down and little sunshine. I didn't like that, so I paid extra to move to a floor above. There’s no elevator, and parking is limited to whatever space is available around the hotel. The roads were icy and I struggled to drive up in my rental, though taxis come and go often.
