The Wi-Fi was awful, and the shower had no hot water with a broken head. The neighborhood felt really dodgy at night. It’s an okay place if you have no other option, but I’d look elsewhere if you do.

The room and building weren’t clean, and the place looked nothing like the photos. Although it’s near Taksim square with supermarkets around, the immediate area was full of garbage and noise, with a ruined building full of addicts directly opposite. The storage water heater stopped working several times, then a pipe burst at 4:00 AM and water covered the floor. Stay away.

We left after just two hours. With kids, staying there didn’t feel possible or safe. It was filthy and stank, and we couldn’t get back the money for our one-week stay for four people. Worst hotel experience I’ve had in Turkey in 16 years.

The windows looked out on ruins, and there were no screens, so we couldn’t leave them open for air. Given the location, there wasn’t much fresh air outside anyway. The studio was extremely small, with leaky taps, a shower door that wouldn’t close properly, broken outlets, and mold and dirt everywhere. Cigarette smoke from the corridor came into the room, and the humidity was so high that water formed on the walls. There was a washer, though I doubt it worked, and nowhere to dry clothes. The “fresh” towels we got one day were filthy. Rats ran across the dirty street below even in daytime. The property photos were completely outdated. It felt like a filthy cage in the slums, not even worth 1/5.
