Diamond Suite & Residence

The one good thing was the location. We’d been wandering around for hours trying to find the place, and when we got there it wasn’t the reservation we’d made. We were so exhausted we didn’t ask to change it. The cooker didn’t work because of hotel policy, there was mold on the shower and kitchen sink, and the heating only came on late at night. Some mattresses had bugs.

The pillow in my room was crawling with live Cimicidae. I was getting ready for bed when I found them, and the discovery turned what had seemed like a promising arrival at Diamond Suites into a nightmare during my Istanbul vacation. I immediately told the staff and manager. They reacted with anger and rudeness, didn’t apologize or offer a fix, and instead told me to leave. I was disturbed and worried about my health, and their response showed no care for guest safety or comfort. No one should have to deal with those conditions on a vacation. The lack of cleanliness and dismissive response to complaints are serious warning signs. I hope sharing what happened helps others decide, and I urge anyone considering Diamond Suites to think twice. Choose somewhere that takes sanitation and guest satisfaction seriously. Avoid it.

My room was dirty, some things were broken, and there was mold in the bathroom. The photos seem either completely fake or from after a renovation. I wouldn’t recommend booking or staying at this residence. I hope I can upload pictures to show what the room was really like.

The staff were very kind and even changed my reservation date, although it was supposed to be unchangeable after booking. The room, though, was awful, with old furniture and a broken shower and WC. It looked nothing like the photos. Maybe I ended up in one of the bad rooms.
