Dosso Dossi Hotels Downtown

The mattress was not comfortable at all, and that’s the one thing I’d reconsider. Otherwise, the room was clean and spacious, and the hotel was wonderful, with an excellent location and easy access to everything. Staff were helpful and friendly, and most of them speak English. Breakfast was good and varied. The swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room were included in the booking at no extra cost; massage was the only thing with an added charge.

The food alone would bring me back. They take real pride in the kitchen, with authentic Turkish dishes, beautifully prepared, and something new to try each day. It never got boring, and there were plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. We also got fresh water every day, which made a difference. The location made getting around easy, with a bus stop about a 3-minute walk away and the metro around 12 on foot. After a day exploring, it was nice to have the jacuzzi, sauna, gym, and modern wellness facilities. Some areas felt a little „lived in“, though. The facilities could use more attention, and our room wasn’t spotless, with an old piece of gum stuck to the wall. That stood out, but wasn’t a dealbreaker. I’d happily stay again.

I’d put this at 3.5 stars, not five or even four. The gym is awful, with very old equipment, no fresh air, and an AC that doesn’t work. The sauna and jakuzi are too small. I definitely don’t recommend it.

They ask for a 100-euro deposit, and at checkout they inspect the rooms to make sure you haven’t stolen anything. Lose your plastic card and you’ll have to pay for a replacement. The tea and coffee are cheap, and the room has plastic cups. I felt uncomfortable using the jacuzzi in the pool because the water drips from the floor. The sauna and hammam were cold. The staff are rude and insolent. This isn’t a five-star hotel at all.
