DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Istanbul - Tuzla

The bar and restaurant staff were great company, always up for a chat and a laugh. Furkan, the lobby specialist, was especially supportive. We had a wonderful stay, and I’d recommend this hotel.

The food area was clean and had loads of choices. For a big family or group, the setup is handy: you get two adjoining rooms, one with a large bed and the other with two small beds, plus a desk in each. It’s a four-star hotel that deserved my five until the staff issue spoiled things. I really didn’t like cleaners or other staff entering our room without asking, even though they had a key. It happened a lot. While we were out, they went in, moved our bags, and put things that had been outside them back inside.

The chef made me a special meal when I asked for a vegetarian option, and I really appreciated the hospitality. The restaurant staff were friendly and helpful, as I’ve come to expect from Hilton hotels.

The hotel is close to SAW, and though it was nearly full when we arrived, service was mostly good. The room pictures on partner platforms didn’t match and were misleading. They sorted it out eventually, but we had to wait. Breakfast listed bread on the menu, but none came with the room delivery. When I called, the staff member said American breakfast didn’t include bread. I pointed to the menu, and they sent it only after that. I could also hear people talking in another room. It wasn’t very loud, but their conversation was clear.
