El Gusto Hotel

The breakfasts, cakes, snacks, and free tea were lovely, and the hospitable, sincere staff made our stay with our parents feel special. This renovated, clean, beautifully decorated hotel in Ortakoy is literally two minutes from the Ortakoy sea side. There’s no elevator, but even my parents, who are over 60 and not especially fit, managed the stairs. Rooms facing the back garden may be a little less noisy than those at the front. That’s Istanbul, a city that never sleeps, rather than anything to do with the hotel. If you need a very quiet night, remember your earplugs.

I came from France and found this hotel on Google. I’m so happy I found it. The people were very nice, helpful, and respectful. My sister and I felt at home and loved it so much that we told my cousins to come to el gusto. It’s rare to find people like that. If I return to Istanbul, I already know where I’ll stay. We recommend it 1000%. Thank you for everything!

The owner and staff were dedicated hosts, always offering tips on where to go in Ortakoy and how to get around the city. They even offered us tea when we checked in or came back from sightseeing. The hotel is beside Ortakoy restaurants and bars, in a safe, lively area close to the Bousphorous sea, and it’s cheap to get around by taxi. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and nicely decorated, and there’s a cozy lounge for breakfast, tea, or relaxing. I can only call the stay excellent, and I’d definitely recommend it.

The receptionists and staff were lovely and helpful, and they fulfilled all our wishes. It’s a great hotel for this area, with a perfect location and only a short walk to the mosque. Thanks a lot!
