Topkapi Palace, the Grand Bazaar, and the Blue Mosque are all about a 10-15 minute walk from Sultan Tughra Hotel, so sightseeing was easy. The seaside is close too, and nice for relaxing walks in Istanbul’s atmosphere. I found the rooms comfortable and quite good, especially for the usual room sizes in the Old City. What stood out most was the staff’s warm hospitality. Mr. Samad was professional, friendly, and provided outstanding guest service; Mr. Ramazan was also kind, helpful, and cooperative. Everyone was friendly and willing to help, and I felt welcome and at home. I had a pleasant stay and would be glad to return if I visit Istanbul again. Highly recommended for comfortable lodging, good service, and an Old City location.

The location is good for seeing the historic district, and there are lots of Ottoman decorations. But the pictures are deceptive. Our basement room wasn’t disclosed when booking, and some rooms are right in the lobby beside reception. The rooms are so tiny we could barely open a suitcase. Breakfast was poor, with no choices, and the omelet and egg were cooked ahead and served completely cold. Reception staff were kind and helpful, but seemed untrained and unequipped to work at a four-star hotel. This felt like a two-star place.

The rooms were smaller than I expected, and the furniture was a bit old. Still, the staff made the place feel like home. All the receptionists and the Özbekish woman in the kitchen were friendly and willing to help however they could. There was always tea and coffee ready in the kitchen, even in the middle of the night. My experience was amazing, and I’m grateful to everyone on staff.

I stayed for six days on my second visit to Istanbul, and Sultan Tughra Hotel was the best hotel I’ve seen. Breakfast was very good, everything was always clean, and the staff were professional, kind, and friendly. They gave me great advice about places to visit. Emre bey deserves a special thank you for being helpful, professional, friendly, and always smiling. Thanks to him and all the staff. I’ll stay here again when I return and recommend the hotel to family and friends.

The room was dirty when we arrived and stayed that way for the entire week despite repeated requests. The property felt neglected and run-down, with hygiene standards that were unacceptable for a hotel. The bathroom was disgusting, with ants and persistent mold, especially on the ceiling. Breakfast was repetitive, poor, and extremely low quality, laughable for a supposed four-star hotel. The housekeeping woman spent her time smoking in the lobby or on her phone instead of working. Samet at the front desk was the only professional staff member who tried to help, but he was ignored. A humiliating stay, far from what was promised. Avoid Sultan Tughra Hotel.
