Elegance Suites Harbiye

The noise made it really hard to rest, with people walking by, motorcycles, and traffic going on throughout the day and night. When I brought up my concerns, I was just told I should have done more research before booking, which was disappointing and unhelpful. The hotel was nothing like the photos and wasn't comfortable. Everything seemed old and poorly maintained, and my experience was unpleasant and not what I'd expected.

We checked out and moved to another hotel. The rooms looked better in the pictures than they did in real life, and ours was disgusting and not very clean. It smelled so strongly of smoke that I got a headache and had to throw up. I complained, but I wasn't happy with how the manager handled it. 🤐😵‍💫

We stayed for two days and would have extended if there had been availability. The hotel is about 10 minutes from Taksim Square, a good starting point for walks. We had what I think was the superior room, which was spacious, clean, and bright, with lots of windows. The street outside is lively, but it stayed quiet at night, and there's a store right across from the hotel. The internet wasn't great, though I think that's common around Istanbul. I'd recommend staying here.

The rooms are decent, but they look better in the photos. The staff were exploitative, and I won't book here again. I'd only choose this hotel if I couldn't find any other accommodation.
