Gleam Bomonti Hotel

Muhammad made my stay at the Gleam Bomonti Hotel in Istanbul feel smooth and stress-free. He was quick to respond to requests, always calm and welcoming, and combined efficiency with a thoughtful, human touch. As someone traveling internationally, I appreciated how easily he anticipated the little details and helped with local arrangements and clear answers to my questions. From the moment I arrived, he was attentive, professional, and genuinely considerate. His care made a real difference to the experience, and he's a real asset to the Gleam Bomonti Hotel. I'd gladly return knowing that kind of service is part of the stay.

We enjoyed our nine nights here, and Yilmaz and Savas at reception were kind and helpful. Thanks as well to the breakfast service team, Bariş, Mehmet, and Hassan. I had one bad experience with Bariş at reception, whom I fortunately didn't run into often. I asked whether the coffee machine was still working, and he said it was, but would cost extra. For some reason, he then tried to overcharge us for two espressos. If you need help with something, Bariş at reception would be my last choice.

This was a horrible experience. The night before, I clearly asked to extend my stay and was told the rate would be 80€ per night. When I offered to pay right away, they said I had to arrange it with the morning staff. Instead of sorting it out professionally the next morning, Özgür knocked aggressively on my door, as if I'd begged for the room. Ardan spoke to me horribly on the phone and insisted I leave immediately because “other clients were arriving,” making me feel like a problem rather than a paying guest. The issue came from the staff's poor communication and organization, but I was the one treated disrespectfully. Their behavior was unacceptable and extremely unprofessional. A hotel should have receptionists who know how to treat guests. No one deserves this. Avoid this place.

The rooms were clean, which was the only good part of my stay. The reception staff had a poor attitude and weren't welcoming or helpful. There was no free parking, and guests with cars are sent to a paid facility that felt very expensive for the room rate. Street noise was extremely loud and made sleeping difficult. I wouldn't recommend this hotel if comfort or good service matters to you.
