DONT BOOK HERE* The photos on the website didn’t match what we found at all, and the food looked really bad. Our room smelled awful as soon as we walked in, and the air conditioning didn’t work, making the stay even more uncomfortable. The staff were rude and unhelpful, which made a frustrating situation worse. People were smoking in the lobby and hallways too, creating an unpleasant environment for guests.

I booked an 11-day stay at golden hotel with my friend, sharing a room. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, and I really liked the service. The breakfast was fresh and neat, with about three kinds of protein, cereal, cakes, chocolate, jams, cheese, three types of fruit, pickled vegetables, fried foods, and even good crepes. It was a plentiful breakfast. Thanks to all the friendly personnel. I’ll definitely book again. It’s near a metro and tramway station in a lively part of istanbul. A couple of things could be improved: the cleaning products could smell better, and the AC needs checking.

The room was very clean, and they changed the sheets and towels every day. We were close to the metro and bus station, and breakfast was acceptable. I didn’t find the staff, especially at reception, very friendly. They didn’t make me feel welcomed or looked after. I also didn’t like the hotel’s location much, even though it’s close to the metro, tram, and tourist sights like Kapali Carsi. Istanbul has much better areas to stay in.
