Green Palmiye Hotel

Rooms were clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and I had a pleasant stay. The hotel is in a great spot in Avcılar near the Metrobus station. For the comfort and cleanliness, the price is very affordable and good value. I’d definitely stay again.

I chose this hotel after seeing its high ratings and expected something much better. The building is very old, the interior is poor, and the lift is tiny, fitting only two or three people. The rooms are smaller than advertised: the listing said 32 square metres, but the small room I was offered seemed closer to 20. The double beds are actually semi-double. When I asked for a room with two separate beds, they wanted another €50, and the two-bed room I saw was smaller than rooms at other hotels. These conditions weren’t disclosed, so I decided not to stay. I contacted Expedia, and they called the hotel to discuss the problem, but nobody answered. Management weren’t impolite, but they were extremely unprofessional and unhelpful. I wouldn’t recommend booking here; there are better hotels nearby, and I regretted choosing it for my trip to Turkey. I spent the night at the closest Armada hotel instead. It was excellent, although parking there was limited. This hotel has no parking, and while its location by the main road is good, shops and businesses take up most of the few street parking spaces.

The breakfast was delicious, the location was good, and we went swimming a lot during our summer stay. Our rooms were kept clean. Thanks to everyone for working so hard and always smiling at us :)

It was convenient to walk to all the shops from here, and the staff were polite and friendly. The lobby had lovely decorations. The room, though, needs an upgrade or new wallpaper.
