Harran Hotel

We booked four nights but left before the final one because the room was unbearable, and received no refund or compensation. There was a strong mold and stale tobacco smell from day one. My partner and I kept coughing, and the humidity, mold stains, and air made the room feel unhealthy. Our ground floor room was beside the elevator and right across from reception, so we heard guests and staff throughout the night and morning. People passing, loud conversations, burping, throat clearing. We couldn’t sleep properly. I told the receptionist on day two. He promised another room the next morning, and we even shook hands. When I checked the next day, he said there were no rooms, with no apology or sympathy. I rarely post negative reviews and don’t consider myself picky, but this was beyond anything I’ve experienced. I strongly advise against staying here because of the humidity and hygiene problems and the way the issue was handled.

Housekeeping came every day, and the room stayed clean and comfortable. Check-in and check-out were easy, which made the whole stay feel stress-free. I had a double room, and the price was very affordable for such an amazing location. Kaan at reception was especially welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. I had a very pleasant time and would stay here again. Highly recommend!

A short distance from the Grand Bazaar, with clean, comfortable rooms. We had a couple of minor problems with the hot water and wifi, but the staff helped us out. I’d recommend staying here if you’re coming to explore Istanbul.

It was really hard to sleep because every sound carried through the hotel. I could follow conversations three rooms down the hall. The room wasn’t clean either: there were hairs on the pillows, dirty socks in a corner when I arrived, and what looked like mold in the bathroom.
