Hotel Simper

The staff were so welcoming and kind, even though their English was limited. They still tried hard to help, and that made a real difference. The hotel is central, but getting there by car is tricky because the surrounding streets are narrow. The metro looks close, yet a road and the bridges mean you have to walk around or over it. Our room could have been cleaner, and we saw a few ants. Breakfast was basic, and the neighborhood didn’t always feel comfortable. One evening there was a brief security check at the entrance, which was unusual but may have been for everyone’s safety. I visited in December, and when I passed by last week the reception had been renovated. I’d give it 3 out of 5.

The staff were polite and helpful. The room was okay, though the shower room door was blocked and wouldn’t lock. The location worked well for me, with a fast food place nearby where I could order quickly. Please come stay here.

The people working here were really cooperative, especially Ercan. The breakfast was good, and the nearby markets have the best prices. I was a little worried about the location when I booked, since it’s in a local residential area, but I can’t say it felt unsafe. It’s a modest hotel, though.

The room was old, dirty, and had a really unpleasant smell, so I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. The one good thing is that breakfast and dinner are provided free.
