Hyatt Centric Levent Istanbul Hotel

The restaurant was a real highlight, with lovely food, a welcoming atmosphere and great service at both breakfast and dinner. The staff across the hotel were just as good, always friendly, attentive and ready to help. Our room at Hyatt Centric Istanbul was spacious, modern and beautifully put together. It was spotless, and the bed was so comfortable after a busy day out. The location also worked very well for us, with shopping, restaurants, public transport and major areas easy to get to. We had a fantastic stay, beyond what we expected, and would happily return or recommend it to anyone visiting Istanbul.

The location is hard to beat. There are three malls across the street, reached through a pedestrian underpass, the metro is only a few steps away, and shops and restaurants are all around. Bebek is an easy walk too, which was great for fine dining. Breakfast was good, and the staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout my February stay. The first cleaning and check-in condition of Room 1006 weren't great. The staff moved me to room 606, and housekeeping there was much better and up to standard. I'd recommend the hotel for its service, breakfast and fantastic location.

Durdane, who was helping guests at breakfast, was professional, attentive and able to handle different requests. She also communicated well in English. The breakfast she and the team served each morning was delicious, and staff greeted us warmly. This really does feel like a five-star hotel in every way. I highly recommend staying here, and thought it offered very good value for the price.

Front desk agent Durdane was awesome. The rest of the experience was rough. This is a franchise, not Hyatt, and there’s a noisy, crowded setting, with an old cemetery right in front across Buyukdere Cad. The location may look convenient, but it’s very busy. I wouldn’t choose this for a family or a business trip, given the crowd this hotel attracts. The room felt suffocating, with hardwood floors, walls and ceiling creating a sauna effect. The design is called ultramodern, but it’s awkward and not useful. The switch buttons behind the bathroom mirror and the AC control behind the huge, uncomfortable sofa were hard to reach. Towels ended up on the floor, and the sink was sideways. Is that supposed to be modern design? Nothing seemed to work properly, including the shower, sink, bathtub, sauna and steam room. The architecture and design just weren’t good.
