İdil's Apartments Hotel

We spent a week here, and by the end I felt as if I'd been born in Istanbul. The hotel is on a quiet side street in Beşiktaş, surrounded by the everyday life of the neighborhood, with döner places, live music, markets, and coffee bars, and hardly any tourists around. Nearby are used bookshops, at least three Ottoman palaces, ferries to all over the city, and Merci Baku, an incredible breakfast spot on the corner. The family who run the place, owned by a renowned Turkish actor, made us feel like family too. They'd offer sips of tea and pulls of hookah at all hours. For me, this is the most authentic Istanbul experience. It's not for people who want to travel in big coach groups, but it's great if you want to settle into the city, sip tea from little cups, and take in centuries of history in the cobblestones.

The cleanliness really stood out. Our rooms were tidy, comfortable, and extremely clean, and the rest of the hotel was kept up just as well. The staff were attentive, welcoming, and made us feel at home. Be sure to meet Emine Hanım if you stay here. She's one of the sweetest, most sincere people, and her warmth made the visit even more special. We'd happily come again ❤️🏨

Aydan abi and his wife were so friendly. The hotel is clean, attentive, and right in the heart of Beşiktaş market. We'll definitely come back next time we need a place to stay :)

The building's quite old, and our room felt a bit cramped, though the inside was decent. The location in Beşiktaş is good and the place was still cozy and pleasant. I'm not sure how well it works for children, and soundproofing may be weak. At night, noises from another room sounded like watching Interstellar.
