Wi-Fi was the one thing that felt current, and it worked surprisingly well. The rest of the hotel seemed stuck in the 1980s. The booking sites mentioned breakfast, but none was provided, which felt misleading. Our bed looked at least 20 years out of date, the sheets had yellowed, and there wasn’t even a fridge. The shower broke while we were there and the soap holder was loose. If you want comfort or basic modern amenities, you’ll probably be disappointed.

We overslept and missed our departure time, but the staff were kind and went out of their way to help us. The spot is magnificent, and the rooms are reasonably good and clean.

Kadıköy Otel made a peaceful base after busy days out, even though it sits in a lively part of town. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the high ceiling made it feel spacious. We could easily get around Istanbul from here: the ferry terminal, metro, and tram are all a short walk away, which made trips between the Asian and European sides simple. The staff were friendly and helpful, too. It’s a comfortable, budget-friendly place in a vibrant neighborhood.

We had no breakfast, though they offered us coffee or tea each morning. The internet and air conditioning both worked well, and they let us use a fridge in the basement since there wasn’t one in the room. We also left our luggage at reception all day before heading off. The staff were very friendly and helped us with everything, many thanks. It’s a quiet, pleasant street compared with some of Kadıköy’s louder spots. The market, port, bus and metro stops, and ferry to the European side are all close by. The rooms are quite old and need improvement, and the bathroom is tiny. Still, for a couple of days of sightseeing, it has what you need, and the price is fair.
