Vavien Hotel

The location puts you right in the middle of everything in Istanbul. I’m from Egypt and stayed here three years ago, and it’s still the best hotel I’ve stayed at, especially for how clean it was and how kind the staff were. Even when I was days late with a payment, they’d just say I could pay later. They were so helpful, and generous with breakfast too. Love you guys. I’ll stay here whenever I’m back in Istanbul. The street can look a little shady at first, but I soon felt it was safe. For what it costs in Istanbul, the service feels fair, and I had no problems at all during my six nights. The room was clean and comfortable, the bed was soft, and it was quiet. Reception is open around the clock, and the staff were very kind. Special thanks to Berat for making me feel welcome. Getting around is easy, with Galata Tower, Haliç metro station, and other tourist spots and transport nearby. Free bottled water is available as often as you need it. The only supplies provided besides that are fresh towels, hand wash, and body wash, so don’t expect other amenities.

The rooms are clean and stylish, and the lobby is practical. The staff are really friendly, and the place has a positive feel, with lots of foreign tourists staying there. It’s clearly not meant for people who want to keep a low profile. I was surprised to find service this good at an affordable price in such a central spot. Galata Tower is 200 meters away, while the Golden Horn metro station, Galata Bridge, and Unkapanı Bridge are each 100 meters away. Arab Mosque is just 30 meters away too. I stayed a few nights and definitely don’t regret choosing it. Full marks!

Vavien hotel was quiet at night, and I found it comfortable for a short or long stay. The staff were helpful and focused on guests. My room stayed warm despite the cold weather outside, and the Wi-Fi worked very well. It had a clean single bed, towels, TV, fridge, safe, kettle, cup and teaspoon, small table and chair, mirror, and clothes hangers. There was also a bedside table handy for drinks or food while watching movies. The bathroom had a toilet, hot and cold shower, and sink, separated by a glass wall. Tea, sugar, and water were replenished daily. Cleaning was offered every day, though I didn’t need it daily. Food shops, restaurants, the sea, and Ataturk bridge with metro train are a two-minute walk away. Galata bridge, Galata Tower, Egyptian bazaar, famous Istiklal street, and ferry boat stations take 5-10 minutes on foot. There are lots of shops selling construction, bathroom, and plumbing supplies in the district, so don’t be surprised to see those around during the day.
