Mavirem Hotel

We found stains on the sheet by the third night and asked to have the room cleaned. When we checked afterward, the mattress protector and pillows had huge stains that looked like bodily fluids. It was disgusting. They only replaced everything with proper sheets after we complained, near the end of our stay. I'll provide photos to show what we found. The rooms were tiny, the beds uncomfortable, and the elevator often didn't work. The air conditioning barely cooled the room, which stayed hot, and the thin curtain had a hole that let in a lot of light. Breakfast was poor compared with the photos online, with many pictured items missing; it looked like mirrors or wide-angle lenses were used to make the rooms and buffet seem larger. Even an omelette cost an extra 3€. Staff weren't very friendly and struggled with English. Other guests we spoke to were just as frustrated. The hotel isn't as advertised, and its hygiene standards are unacceptable. Definitely not recommended.

We were happy to have such a neat, clean place to stay for our two nights. My husband and I found the breakfast spread good for the price, and they cleaned our room every day when we asked. It's close enough to the center that you can walk to Istanbul's attractions. Being in the city center does mean some noise, as in most cities, so bring headphones. Thanks!

The location worked well, not far from the Aksaray Havaist 12 airport bus stop, and there's a lift so you don't have to carry bags upstairs. Breakfast was included in my booking, starts at 8:30, and is worth trying for the fresh Turkish dishes and variety. Ferhat and his family were excellent hosts and did their best to keep guests comfortable. For what we paid, the hotel delivered. I'd happily stay again.

Really good service, helpful staff, clean rooms, and good breakfast. Definitely recommend.
