The room was quite small, and the balcony still seemed unfinished, though the service was generally fine. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the mosque, and the rooftop offers a lovely city view. Our main concern was the room door. It wouldn’t lock at all, and even after we reported it during our three-night stay, nobody fixed it. Someone could easily have pushed it open while we were out. The hotel said its guests were “high-end” and security wasn’t a concern because this wasn’t a place “just anyone” could stay. Luckily nothing was taken, but I doubt we’d have got a satisfying resolution in Turkey if it had. FYI, the balcony view is as follows.

The hotel itself has a lovely mix of historic and modern touches, with beautiful attention to detail, and the rooftop bar has stunning city views. We also loved the varied, tasty breakfasts and Turkish wine. The staff were attentive and knew their stuff, with such friendly personal service and great concierge help. Everything was within walking distance, and the views were great too. Simply divine. Çok teşekkür!

With just 13 rooms, this hotel felt very personal, and the service was the best I’ve experienced. Breakfast was definitely among the best we’ve had in hotels. A special thank you to Omercan, the waiter, for such exceptional customer service.

The location is peaceful and relaxing, while still putting you just steps from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. Hotel Komana Binbirdirek is a real gem in the heart of Istanbul. The rooms were spotless, the design elegant, and the staff the most welcoming I’ve ever met. Everything felt five-star from beginning to end. Highly recommend for an ideal Istanbul stay.
