Lazz City Hotel Bed&Breakfast

We were three female friends who booked a triple room at Lazz City Hotel, Istanbul, for 5th to 9th Dec. I’d never before been mistreated, yelled at, and belittled as a hotel guest, but that happened here last week. We arrived Friday evening and left early Tuesday morning. On Saturday morning, the toilet stopped working completely. We reported it to reception several times. Staff tried to fix it, but it never worked. They didn’t call a plumber because it was the weekend, and they wouldn’t move us to another room, saying the hotel was full. What decent hotel has no emergency plumber? On MONDAY morning, we asked for compensation. A very rude staff member laughed and yelled that we were crazy to ask for it. We argued for about 15 minutes without getting anywhere. I don’t know his name, but I’d recognize him right away. They charged us the full rate, and we’re now asking Booking.com to resolve this. I have videos to support our case and am only submitting the “cleanest” one here, for decency.

The location was great, close to everything, and the service was really nice. We did have to pay extra to move to a better room after being given a small one when we arrived. The guy working there was friendly, helpful, and always smiling, though I didn’t catch his name. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend the hotel.

Definitely the best hotel in the Beyoglu. The staff speak Turkish and English fluently and are always ready to help. You can pay in liras, euros, or dollars. There’s transport to Taksim and Sishane metro stations, plus an airport shuttle. Much love.

My family and I stayed for six nights and booked two rooms. Everyone, from the cleaners to the owner, was really warm and welcoming. Great value for money, and I highly recommend the place.
