Masal Suite

The people were kind and the customer service was good. The cleaning needs work, especially on the floors, in the toilet, and out on the balcony.

I was exhausted and lost when I finally reached kadıköy, and mistakenly thought Masal Suite was the hotel I’d booked next door. I’d actually reserved a room at Staryy Dom, a cozy hotel that was amazing. I showed my booking to Ahmet, the manager, but he didn’t speak English and let me into his hotel without telling me it wasn’t the one on my reservation. He didn’t say I’d gone to the wrong place, just offered me a room. It was freezing and dirty. The shower didn’t work at all, the air conditioner didn’t work either, and I had only one thin blanket, so I slept wearing my sweater and scarf. It was noisy enough that I woke up every hour from the sounds outside and the cold. When I asked for the room to be cleaned, the woman was very angry with me. The next day I found the right hotel. Its manager, Koray, was kind, spoke with Ahmet because I didn’t speak Turkish, and helped me through a really stressful situation. Ahmet didn’t apologize or say anything. He took advantage of how tired I was and charged me $17 for the night. The worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Please stay away.

I’m planning to visit November 3-7 and hope they can offer me a good price for four nights 🙏🤲

I was nervous after seeing the reviews, but I’m glad I stayed. The management changed a few months ago, and my room was spotless. The staff were attentive, and I thought it was very good value. The fire exits and alarm system are in good shape too. I’ll come back if I need a room again.
