It's easy to find the hotel if you leave Taksim Square behind you, keep the park on your right, then turn left towards the Carton Hotel. Walk with Carton Hotel on your right until the bus stop, turn right, pass the first street and take the second. The place is just after the grocery store. Sorry this got so long, and goodbye. The neighborhood is noisy all day and night. You can hear women calling their children and chatting, men talking about government and public affairs late into the night, and children playing in the street. There's a little girl, maybe two years old, who repeats the family names when she wakes up, like a parrot. May God protect her and bring her happiness. She interrupts my train of thought, God bless her! Inside, everything was spotless. The kitchen is fully equipped, including a washing machine, and linens, towels, and other necessities are changed daily. The owner, Mr. Abdul Wahab, speaks Arabic and is genuinely kind and helpful. The hotel is close to Istiklal Street and the square. The grocery shopkeeper on the right and his son are polite and speak Arabic too. Across from them, there's a kebab shop with cheap, fresh meat. To the north, a bakery sells delicious, inexpensive meat pies called araya, two for five lira.
